“The FFA Committee had their 6 monthly meeting at the Farmers Club in London after the Thames Barrier meeting. Apart from Committee matters, other things discussed were;
A proposed meeting to be held in the Hebrides, landing on a beach strip, to be held in August and organised by Mike Ashmole.
The Secretary would like to hear from any one with airstrip problems so that he can amass a database, so that when a member calls the FFA with a problem, he can be referred to others who have had similar problems to help out. A recent example was a rating issue.
In the future, non members will only be accepted at events after the closing date of the meeting, to ensure that all members get first chance.
3 new applications for membership were accepted and two rejected. There are now 386 members.”
